Technical Business Analyst - Travel Industry
An exciting opportunity to join a highly reputable travel company where you will be responsible for translating business information from multiple sources, presenting it to both technical and non-technical audiences, and acting as a liaison between external development providers, central functions, and internal teams. As a Technical Business Analyst, you will need to have proven experience in the travel industry with strong knowledge of tour operator processes including the functions of flights, connectivity, operations, sales & finance. Salary of circa £45k, hybrid working.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Identify, analyse, and prioritise business requirements.
2. Understand and describe business processes, suggest improvements.
3. Translate high-level information into detailed insights.
4. Develop insightful recommendations and document business requirements.
5. Drive and challenge business users on their input and assumptions.
6. Identify requirements for change, assess impacts, and deliver training.
7. Ensure sound project governance across all work streams.
8. Work with other departments to manage supplier relationships.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Travel industry experience specifically within tour operations within a similar role and ability to make recommendations for business changes resulting from new technology.
2. Ability to communicate in both IT and travel business languages.
3. Use expertise with GDS to analyse process improvements.
4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills.
5. Strong planning and organisational skills.
6. Commercial acumen with ability to assess data, draw conclusions, and propose actions.
7. Familiarity with project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.
8. Understanding of finance operations, customer invoicing, and supplier settlement.
9. Ability to present confidently to groups and individuals.
10. Experience in problem-solving techniques and decision-making methodologies.
11. Positive approach, flexible, and adaptable to changing priorities.
12. Excellent time management, ability to achieve targets and deadlines.
13. Persuasive, articulate, and influential, yet friendly and approachable.
14. Practical hands on approach and solution-oriented.
Additional Information:
Salary of circa £45k plus bonus
