Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Transport professional to supervise the operation based at our Bolton Depot.
Working hours:4 on 4 off Nights (18:00 - 06:00).
Salary: £30,976.54 per annum.
As the Transport Supervisor you willoversee the transport plans, meet customer demand and supervise transport planners to achieve SLA's.
Job responsibilities of a Transport Supervisor include:
1. Effectively manage and plan driver and vehicle resources to achieve delivery/collection times and client SLAs.
2. Liaising with the shunting operation covering pre loading and unloading operation.
3. Ensuring that service levels are achieved and maintained, in conjunction with other departments.
4. Optimising resources and adhering to WTD and drivers hours legislation.
5. Using the Driver rota, planning runs according to shift pattern and available hours, taking into account holidays and sickness.
