Seeking a Full Time Food Technology Teacher for a Secondary School in Portsmouth, Hampshire!

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Portsmouth. This is a full-time role with a permanent contract available after a probation period. The start date is flexible, either from Easter 2025 or September 2025, depending on notice periods.
Exciting Pay Rate: Earn between £30,000 to £50,000 per year, depending on your experience and expertise! Imagine the impact you can make while being rewarded for your dedication.
Responsibilities of a Food Technology Teacher:
* Inspire and Educate: Teach Food Technology to students, fostering a love for cooking and nutrition.
* Curriculum Development: Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the curriculum standards.
* Student Support: Provide support and guidance to students, helping them achieve their full potential.
* Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to aid their development.
* Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive teaching environment.
* Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest teaching methods and food technology trends.
Required Qualifications for a Food Technology Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Experience: School is happy to accept Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers.
* Passion for Food Technology: A strong understanding of food technology and a passion for teaching it.
* Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Proactive Approach: A proactive approach to professional development and learning.
* Enhanced DBS: An updated CV (covering the last ten years with no unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
