About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Procurement Specialist to join our Strategic Procurement team within the Construction division on a 12-month fixed-term basis to cover a period of maternity leave.
The successful candidate will actively participate in delivering our contract delivery plan and support the preparation and issue of contract documentation for the team.
You will contribute towards the realisation of the benefits of collaborative procurement by assisting in the delivery of our frameworks to customers.
You will support managers and colleagues to initiate and organise User Intelligence Groups for designated commodities to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness and value are delivered to local authorities.
You will undertake a range of research and analysis duties as directed in support of the procurement teams’ contracts process.
You will liaise closely with Scotland Excel Project and Account Managers to monitor/ensure effectiveness of contracts and suppliers.
The post holder must have a flexible approach working across all areas of procurement as directed by colleagues and managers.
