About the Role:
As our Domestic Gas Compliance and Repairs Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the delivery of Gas Compliance, Service, Repair and Maintenance contract to an agreed programme, budget, and quality within the council's operational targets. Ensuring residents are provided with reliable, effective and affordable heating systems and receive high levels of service delivery, you will also be responsible for ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and legislation in context of job role e.g. Landlords Gas Safety Records, CDM Regulations and Health & Safety Legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Acting as lead Officer for the Housing Service in the take-up, development, installation and maintenance guidance of new energies in line with the Council's ambition.
* Managing all aspects of the gas service, maintenance and the repairs contracts under your control.
* Taking on full responsibility and accountability for the successful operational delivery of a range of work streams (including gas, responsive repairs, planned maintenance programmes).
* Reviewing and drafting domestic and commercial heating and hot water asset maintenance/repair and installation specifications.
* Development and delivery of the heating replacement program incorporating affordable warmth and carbon reduction targets.
* Assisting in the procurement of heating and insulation contracts.
About You:
In order to be proficient in this role, it is essential that you are a Category 1 Engineer with Domestic and Commercial Natural Gas ACS Qualifications and have experience in managing construction-based contracts and contractors including budgetary control along with:
* Experience in managing domestic and commercial heating installations.
* Experience in renewable heating and hot water technologies.
* Minimum 5 years post qualification primary trade related experience.
* Experience in producing specifications and reports.
* Experience in dealing with customers and complaints including compensation claims.
