Job Summary:
The HR at Tomato Energy will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth by assisting the HR Manager in the HR process and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new employees. This role involves handling administrative tasks, performing reference and Right to Work (RTW) checks, and supporting HR initiatives. The ideal candidate will be highly organiased, detail-oriented, and passionate about attracting and retaining top talent, as well as progressing their HR career.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing employment contracts, onboarding materials, and induction schedules.
* Facilitate new hire orientation sessions to introduce company policies, culture, and values.
* Liaise with IT and facilities teams to ensure new employees have the necessary tools and resources from day one.
HR Administration:
* Maintain and update employee records in the HR system, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
* Assist in the preparation of HR reports and metrics related to recruitment and employee onboarding.
* Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement activities, training sessions, and diversity and inclusion programs.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
* Stay informed about changes in employment laws and regulations that may impact HR and recruitment practices.
Collaboration and Support:
* Work closely with the HR team and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and provide recruitment support.
* Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and enhancing the employee experience.
Reference and Background Checks:
* Conduct thorough reference checks for shortlisted candidates, ensuring their qualifications and experience align with the role requirements.
* Coordinate background checks as needed, ensuring all checks are completed before extending job offers.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or relevant experience
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR and recruitment, preferably within the energy or related sectors.
Skills:
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR software.
* Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
