As Product Introduction Engineer, you will be working within a team of Product Managers, Software Developers and Quality Assurance playing a pivotal role in bridging the gap between product development and project implementation, ensuring seamless communication and coordination between our Sheffield and Scunthorpe sites. The role will help ensure seamless delivery of new Synectics’ software, features, modules and products into the project delivery team.
This role involves technical planning, meticulous documentation management, tracking new client systems from inception to deployment, and fostering robust lines of communication to guarantee the delivery of stable and scalable systems tailored to our clients' specific needs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring our product introductions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities
1. Responsible for the first implementation of new software modules.
2. Foster effective communication and collaboration between the Sheffield Technology Centre (STC) and the Scunthorpe Operations Centre (SOC) to ensure full transparency and seamless product handover resulting in efficient and quality service delivered to our customers.
3. Facilitate and maintain working relationships across product and project teams to ensure seamless planning, communication, and integration.
4. Understand our customer’s business, technical and operational requirements and be able to match them to Synectics’ value proposition.
5. Understand the configuration of Synergy systems to meet customers' defined specifications.
6. Develop and maintain an extensive working knowledge of Synectics solutions – ultimately becoming a subject matter expert.
7. Coordinate across different Synectics departments to ensure a smooth and timely project delivery.
8. Track the progress of all new client systems from sales, design, testing, and FAT through to release and implementation at customer sites.
9. Develop comprehensive checklists to ensure detailed documentation and diagrams are provided to both customers and the company for stable and scalable system delivery.
10. In collaboration with project and engineering teams, ensure documentation is tailored and refined for all new clients, accurately reflecting the architecture and design of their individual systems.
11. Ensure the creation of technical handover documentation to project stakeholders.
12. Ensure all documentation is easily accessible and well-organised for future reference and audits.

Qualifications and Experience
Experience
1. Experience of providing technical solutions for enterprise customers.
2. Experience in delivering technical / IP network-based projects into customer environments.
3. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, quality assurance, and hardware integration.
4. Proven technical training in software in fast-paced environments.
5. Familiarisation with Microsoft Windows platforms (feature set, operation, security, deployment).
6. Familiar with: IP networking, Windows Domains, Virtual Machines, system replication and backups, firewalls, and port security.
7. Beneficial but not essential: Experience of video storage, digital video, and digital data management.
8. Beneficial but not essential: Experience with Cloud technologies.
