Job Vacancy: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children facing challenges in their educational journey? Axcis Education is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEND TA) to support students with behavioural challenges at a large SEND school in the Halton (Runcorn) area. The role involves providing one-on-one tuition across Key Stages 2, 3, and 4, focusing on behaviour support.
Role Overview
As a SEND TA, you will support and guide teenagers, working closely with students who require additional assistance. Your role is to ensure they receive tailored support to excel academically and socially.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct one-to-one tuition sessions tailored to students' educational and behavioural needs.
2. Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
3. Collaborate with teaching staff and SENCO to develop personalized learning plans.
4. Provide mentorship and serve as a positive role model.
5. Support students' academic progress and integration into classroom activities.
6. Maintain records of students' progress and behavioural developments.
Requirements
* Experience working with children or teenagers in educational or behavioural support roles.
* Understanding of behaviour management techniques.
* Strong communication skills and rapport-building abilities.
* Resilience, adaptability, and calmness in challenging situations.
* Passion for supporting students with behavioural difficulties.
* Qualifications in education, counselling, or related fields are advantageous.
