Responsibilities
Position Overview: The Financial Analyst acts as a business support person to the Operations and Financial Management team. Responsible for analyzing and developing standard costs, bill of materials (BOM), and assisting in the development of the annual budget. This person will work closely with the manufacturing leaders and the rest of the business unit to perform margin analysis, as well as understanding circumstances and how they impact the financial results.
Essential Duties:
* Ensure financial analysis and reports of manufacturing costs for business operations & executives
* Assist with cost analysis and product unit costing
* Building cost analysis consolidation and analysis
* Provide manufacturing cost accounting support to the operations
* Contribute to month-end close, review of variances from budget, & expenses reviews
* Prepare KPI (Scorecard) analysis and reporting business metrics
* Perform ad hoc project analysis as needed
* Participate in new projects and cost-saving initiatives
* Month-end financial activities and reporting to senior management and corporate
* Monthly analytical review of material consumption
* Monthly preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
* Facilitate monthly physical inventory, and perform reconciliation
* Special project improvement activities
* Build reports leveraging Power BI to support inventory reconciliation and reporting core model
* Investigate automation capabilities with Power Automate, make recommendations for best practices, and implement to ease the manual nature of inventory management
* Initiate and lead special projects for process improvements
* Assist with year-end audit by providing data requested by external auditors
Qualifications
Education And Work Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
* Experience with ERP Systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred) and BI tools such as Power BI
* Experience in automation and continuous improvement approach
* Prior manufacturing experience preferred
Required Skills
* Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and other office tools
* Data crunching for financial reporting and analysis (essential)
* Familiarity with ERP environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Effective communication skills
* Solid attention to detail and can work independently or as part of a team
* Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced and energetic environment
