About the Role: We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our exceptional team at a well-established primary school in Cambridge. This role requires an individual with substantial experience in supporting teaching and learning in a primary school setting, who can confidently take on the responsibility of leading interventions and working independently with pupils across the curriculum. As an experienced HLTA, you will be integral in ensuring that students receive high-quality support tailored to their individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, providing targeted support to students.
Lead small group and one-to-one interventions for students with specific learning needs, helping them to make accelerated progress.
Provide effective support for pupils with a range of additional needs, ensuring inclusion and progress across all areas of the curriculum.
Monitor and assess the progress of students, providing feedback and supporting the teacher in adapting teaching strategies.
Take responsibility for managing and overseeing classroom activities when the teacher is absent, ensuring continuity in learning.
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, supporting the social and emotional development of pupils.
About You:
Extensive experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, with a proven track record of delivering successful learning interventions.
HLTA qualification or equivalent (Level 4 or above).
Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and best practices for supporting children with a variety of learning needs.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents.
Confident in leading groups and working independently to support children’s learning and development.
