About the Role: As a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers and support staff to create an engaging and nurturing environment for students with special educational needs. Your role will involve offering practical and emotional support to help students overcome challenges and succeed in their education journey. Your Key Responsibilities: Assist students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, ensuring they can access and engage with the curriculum. Tailor learning resources and activities to suit the unique needs of each student. Foster a safe and positive atmosphere that encourages student participation and independence. Implement and support personalised learning plans under the guidance of teaching staff. Provide support during transitions, breaks, and extracurricular activities, ensuring student safety and inclusion. Monitor progress and collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to support each student's development. Who We’re Looking For: The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with children with SEN and the ability to build positive relationships. We’re seeking someone who: Has prior experience supporting children with SEN or a strong willingness to learn. Demonstrates understanding of a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties. Possesses excellent communication and teamwork skills. Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable to the needs of individual students. Holds relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate (desirable but not essential).
