JAB Recruitment are currently looking to source an Electrical Engineer on behalf of one of our Renewable Energy Clients located in Aberdeen on either a contract or staff basis.
What you will be doing
1. Undertakes responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to the Drawing Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.
2. Signs and issues technical documentation as originator, accepting personal responsibility for its content.
3. May agree and monitor performance requirements with direct reports. Where necessary provide day to day guidance.
4. Ensures all relevant safety requirements and legal requirements are met.
5. Represents the Company in meetings/correspondence with Clients, Subcontractors, 3rd Parties etc.
6. Support the Principal Engineer and Project Engineering Manager in performing and coordinating engineering for effective project delivery.
7. Ensure full traceability of the technical development of the assigned scope throughout the life of the project.
8. Provide technical support to local tendering teams.
9. Become familiar with and learn Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes and key SCM commodity strategies.
10. Assist senior/lead engineers in the project risk assessment and mitigation processes.
11. Assist with undertaking and checking of analysis, design and engineering activities associated with works.
12. Design and detailing in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides; Client Specifications and Scopes of Work.

8. Good knowledge of FO cable tests.
9. Be ready to travel for site visits on occasion.
