Program Manager – WS3 SLEP Purpose: Valkyrie Critical Communications & Security (CC&S) has an immediate need for a Program Manager to direct a Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) in support of the Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3) for the US Air Force. This program will improve sustainability, extend the service life of the WS3, and ensure WS3 continues to meet USAFE/NATO requirements. Job Description: Direct liaison between the USAF Program Manager and Valkyrie program staff, and with the other associated government stakeholders, subcontractors/vendors, and/or local command. Responsible for the planning, budgeting, executing, monitoring, controlling, and documenting all aspects of the program. Works closely with USAF Program Manager to ensure assigned program actions are within scope and direction and completed on schedule. Responsible for the preplanning upcoming work to include: estimating work to be performed; assigning resources, and creating appropriate work plans. Responsible for the performance of all assigned personnel including subcontractors and vendors; responsible for tracking and verifying subcontractor and vendor billing. Oversee the internal quality assurance of all deliverables and services on the program. Ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Responsible for overseeing and directing the purchasing, tracking, and kitting of equipment/material; coordinates movement of equipment/material to and from assigned program locations. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Configuration Management documentation. Responsible for producing and maintaining integrated schedules for duration of and completion of program activities. Oversee the creation, validation, and delivery of all required program deliverables (CDRLs). Responsible for establishing manning requirements. Attends meetings (program and corporate) as required. Qualifications: Must have Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field or equivalent experience and at least 7 years of program or project management experience. Equivalent experience to Bachelor's degree additional 4 years relevant project experience. Must have a solid working knowledge of project management principles; the ability to detect and resolve conflicts within the scope of the assigned projects and to detect and resolve risks to maintain the program’s performance within budget and schedule. Familiar with financial planning, reporting and delivery of financial status of projects. Has documented and demonstrated technical background and leadership skills. Must have general working knowledge of computers/technology and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Desired Qualifications: PMP Certification Experience managing and successfully delivering DoD projects Ability to work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment Strong Verbal and Written Communications Team Player Positive Attitude Detail Orientated Security Requirements: Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance. Must maintain clearance eligibility to access military facilities. Travel Requirements: Up to 20% domestic and international If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift. Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
