JobSummary
Reporting to the TechnicalManager the Technical Shift Manager will support the site team onall technical plant aspects coordinating PPM and break/fixesworking between the DCM and the Facilities team(subcontracted).
The scope includes Data Centremanagement working closely with new and existing customersoperational continuity and the management of service delivery onthe sites/campus through our specialist subcontractor whoundertakes M&E and ICT tasks.
Workinghours: Continental shift pattern 12hour shifts between 6am6pm and6pm6am.
Duties andResponsibilities
TechnicalResource:
Witness allcritical works on site.
Management ofM&E tasks to ensure service delivery meetsexpectations.
Assist in scenario testing andtraining for the site teams.
SiteAvailability:
Maintaining zerocustomer downtime including any breaches to contractual SLAs andKPIs.
Work closely with the Service ManagementCentre (SMC) on the change control process that customercommunications and incident updates are being accurately reportedand managed.
Draft postincidentreviews.
Third PartyMonitoring:
Ensuring themanagement of specialist contractors working across the DataCentres ensuring contracted service delivery is being received thatreactive tasks are being logged and ensure work is completed to ahigh standard.
Ensuring all staff customers andcontractors adherence to site policies and operationalprocesses.
Reporting:
Assisting in the management of the site Maximo CAFMsystem.
Work with the Technical/Operations teamon weekly and monthly site reports to ensure qualityupdates.
GeneralResponsibilities:
Ensure theprovision of a safe and healthy working environment and ensurecompliance with all Company policies and procedures as well asclient site policies procedures and working arrangements asrequired.
A good understanding of the Health andSafety policies procedures and best practices.
Out of hours on call for any emergencies.
Provide support and remote cover to neighbouring Data Centres if /when required.

PersonSpecification
Experience:
Essential:
Experience in a Data Centre or other similar critical Managementrole.
Strong and demonstrable process managementexperience in a live operational environment.
Realtime Incident/fault management experience in a businesscriticalenvironment.
Experience with business continuityrisk management incident management and daytoday engineeringtasks.
Knowledge:

Good health and safety and environmentalknowledge.
Mechanical or electrical engineeringwith working knowledge of BMS PMS and firesystems.
