The Director of Sport at Bedford School will lead and oversee all aspects of sport, physical education, and co-curricular sporting activities across both the Prep and Upper Schools (7–18). This includes Games, BTEC Sport and Exercise Science, and performance pathways. The role ensures inclusive participation and drives excellence in performance sport while maintaining the school’s ‘sport for all’ ethos.
The Director of Sport will provide strategic leadership to create a sector-leading sports programme that enhances both participation and competitive performance. This role includes line management of key leadership roles within the sports department and coordination with external sporting bodies, professional clubs, and other schools to build strong recruitment pathways.
