Job summary Job summary We are looking to recruit a Dispensing Assistant level NVQ2 to join our well established, friendly and very busy practice dispensary. You must be self-motivated, conscientious, professional, enthusiastic and able to use your own initiative. The post holder must have experience of working within a busy dispensary and providing a quality service to patients. They will show that they can follow policies and procedures, have excellent organisational and customer service skills and be able to work well under pressure. The successful candidate must be an active team player and be very flexible to work within a team of dispensary staff. Main duties of the job Main duties of the job The post will involve performing a variety of pharmacy duties including printing prescriptions, ordering stock, dispensing prescriptions, accuracy checking, blister packs, dealing with a variety of medication queries, counselling patients, interacting with other healthcare professionals. Previous experience of working in a GP practice, an understanding of prescribing within primary care would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given. About us Overview of your organisation We are a busy practice set in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, made up of 7 doctors; 5 nurses and 2 Healthcare Assistant. The dispensary team are 5 in total and are an extremly important part of the practice. In addition, the post holder will be required to support the Dispensary Manager in ensuring a high-level of service is delivered at all times whilst supporting the multi disciplinary team in line with the strategic objectives of the practice.
