Job Title: Early Years Learning Support Assistant
Location: Primary School, Leeds
Salary: 85 - 95 per day
Hours: Full-Time
Contract Type: Long-Term
We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join a diverse and multicultural primary school in Leeds. This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with young children, including those with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Early Years pupils.
* Provide additional support to children with EAL and SEND within the classroom.
* Build strong, nurturing relationships with children, offering calm, patient, and supportive care.
* Engage with children at their level to promote interaction and learning.
* Assist with behaviour management and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
* Work closely with the teacher and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in Early Years settings, whether in a nursery or primary school, is essential.
* Experience working with children with EAL and SEND is highly desirable.
* A passion for supporting and developing young minds.
* A nurturing, patient, and calm approach with a strong ability to build relationships with children.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
