Youth Support Worker - Bury Monarch Education are working with a number of mainstream Primary Schools in the Bury area; including Radcliffe, Whitefield and Prestwich, that are looking for Criminology and/or Psychology Graduates to provide focused behavioural support for individual pupils in their schools. The schools are looking for graduates with a passion for supporting vulnerable pupils to overcome barriers to learning and support their social emotional mental health needs and disorders to help them reach their true potential in school. The appropriate candidate will be able to show confidence and resilience when interacting with the students. Degrees in criminology and previous relevant experience, such as youth work, residential support work or mental health support work, would be highly beneficial to your application too. The main responsibility of the successful candidates will be to work with these identified pupils to help them to manage their emotions, de-escalate behaviour and make school an enjoyable place for them to be each day. These roles are full-time, initially on a temporary basis but we find that candidates who excel in these roles are often retained on permanent contracts by the schools. Pay for this position ranges from £425 to £500 a week, with working hours typically being between 8:30am - 3:30pm.
