Business Development Manager for a freight forwarder based in the North West of England. This role is hybrid with about 1-2 days in the office and the rest is meeting clients. You will head up the sales direction for the company, and this role is a bit of a blank page regarding how the role will be and the direction of the sales approach. The role will include cold sales, but this is not a harsh sales environment type of company.
Salary: £35-45k + bonus, OTE around £60-70k with company car OR car allowance (depending on your preference).
The Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be out and about meeting clients, securing business, and ensuring repeat business. You will draw up a strategy, consider trade shows to showcase at, and attend networking events. This role will include all the normal business development duties.
Experience:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager from an ocean and air freight forwarding background, with cold sales experience and the ability to hit the ground running. You will be passionate and able to reach out to customers and secure freight bookings.
Requirements:
Must be based in Cheshire or South Manchester.
