Senior Technician (Structures) Location: Winchester Offices / Home Working
Contract: Temporary (3-6 months)
Salary: Up to £23.77 per hour PAYE (£31.30 per hour Umbrella, £34.43 per hour Agency)
Myn is recruiting for our long-term client in Winchester. We are looking for a Senior Technician (Structures) with strong REVIT skills to support structural maintenance and improvement projects. This is a hybrid role, with office-based and remote working options.
The Role
You will be responsible for updating BIM models with construction information to ensure they reflect as-built status. You will also assist in the design, preparation, and delivery of structural maintenance and improvement projects.
Your work will involve:
* Preparing technical design drawings and models to support structures projects.
* Updating and maintaining BIM models using REVIT software.
* Liaising with contractors and external bodies to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Providing technical support on-site and assisting in problem-solving.
* Ensuring designs comply with health and safety regulations and sustainability standards.
* Preparing cost estimates to support budgeting and project planning.
What Were Looking For
* Essential Qualifications & Experience
* RQF Level 4 in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* Proficiency in REVIT evidence of competence required at the interview stage.
* Experience in the design and construction of structural, geotechnical, or civil engineering projects.
* Competency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MX) and structural design tools (LUSAS).
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assist in design and construction challenges.
* Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively.
Working Conditions
* Hybrid working a mix of home and office-based work.
* Occasional site visits may be required.
* Start Date: 3rd February 2025
* Contract Duration: 3-6 months
