About Us
All of our vets - whether recent grad or 30 years qualified - receive support tailored to their needs, along with a fantastic package of benefits. New grads have a designated VetGDP Adviser for day-to-day support, along with access to the well-regarded XLVets Graduate Development Programme. Mentoring for more experienced grads is moulded to the individual's needs, with practical in-house scanning sessions, theatre-scrub-ins, monthly clinical club discussion groups, or regular one-to-one chats.
Our team of 15 vets includes several certificate holders along with a wealth of experience, covering imaging, medicine, dermatology, feline practice (being Gold Cat Friendly) and ECC. We recently extended, providing dedicated areas for our 2 scanners and digital x-ray, plus a designated dental room with dental x-ray, and separate cat, dog and isolation wards. There's even a staff pet kennel area!
There is no night work, as we've been using a local OOH provider for 20 years. Late evening and weekend shifts are shared fairly across the team, and an experienced colleague is always rota-ed alongside new/recent grads to provide hands-on support.
