My well-known and busy client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join them to work on a variety of London Underground projects in and around the London area. This is a long-term freelance opportunity with a client who has a steady flow of work and is busy tendering for new jobs.
The chosen candidate will need proven experience working on London Underground projects.
My client will assess you for your IR35 determination.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Leading and assisting with the preparation of documentation relating to projects from tender to commission.
2. Engaging with and developing good working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including LUL, local authorities, Tier 1 contractors clients, and other disciplines.
3. Managing delivery teams and helping to develop the production of drawings, reports, and specifications.
4. Scoping and supervising surveys.
5. Inputting to and preparing bids and proposals.
6. Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the team.

Candidate Requirements:
1. Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering - degree or experience.
2. Previous experience working on LUL station upgrades.
3. A valid CSCS card and PTS.
