Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 static band 5 Occupational Therapist posts in the medicine team in Cardiff and Vale UHB. The medicine occupational therapy team is committed to the Right Care in the Right Place at the Right Time and are proud to deliver dynamic intervention to support admission avoidance or safe discharge home.
Post holders will be required to work a 7-day rota.
The service provides supervision and CPD opportunities.

Qualifications
* Recognised qualification degree/equivalent in Occupational therapy
* HCPC registration
Experience
* Experience of working across a broad range of clinical areas at undergraduate level
* Experience working as part of an MDT
* Work experience in NHS environment
Skills
* Proven ability to manage a clinical caseload
* Highly developed physical skills relevant to the clinical area i.e. manual techniques and therapeutic handling
* Ability to maintain accurate and legible treatment records/statistical information.
* Proven ability to motivate others, promote co-production and empower others
* Confident with digital technology platforms/apps
Special knowledge
* Occupational Therapy clinical knowledge of a wide variety of conditions and treatments
* Evidence of relevant CPD
* Awareness of Health and Safety/clinical risk management
* Professional confidence
* Ability to cope under pressure, demonstrating resilience
* Able to role model UHB behaviours and values
Other
* Willingness to participate and experience in 7 day rota
* Able to travel, in a timely manner to meet the requirements of the job, this may include cross site working or various locations
* Ability to speak and understand Welsh
