We're looking for a motivated and experienced professional to join a Homecare Directorate. This is a chance to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to improving the homes and lives of residents within social housing.
About the Role:
As a Surveyor, you will provide expert property surveying services, inspecting, assessing, and resolving defects in our properties. You'll manage both minor and major works projects, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations while exceeding customer expectations. Your expertise will support in-house teams and external contractors to deliver quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Property Inspections & Defects: Conduct property inspections, assess defects and repair requests, and provide technical advice on appropriate solutions.
* Disrepair Cases: Investigate disrepair cases, produce Housing Conditions reports, and support the legal department with claims.
* Technical Support: Provide strategic advice for maintenance decisions, liaising with internal teams, contractors, and external partners.
* Disabled Facility Grants: Oversee applications, conduct progress and post-inspections, ensuring work meets standards.
* Planned Maintenance: Support the Planned Maintenance Programme, offering expertise on component replacement and property assessments.
* Customer Service Excellence: Address customer queries, complaints, and requests with empathy, efficiency, and professionalism.
* Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work across teams to share insights, improve processes, and deliver the best outcomes for the business.
* Clear Communication: Maintain high standards of written and oral communication to ensure data quality and clarity.
What We're Looking For:
* Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant qualification (degree/HND/HNC in Building Surveying or equivalent).
* Experience in building maintenance or surveying.
* Desirable: Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
