This role is ideal for someone with a passion for people management and a proven track record of leading and developing a high-performing Accounts Payable team. Role Details: Location: Office-based in Ashby De La Zouch. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring smooth processes and excellent team performance. Key responsibilities include: Leading, mentoring, and motivating the Accounts Payable team to achieve departmental objectives. Overseeing the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Monitoring and managing workloads, setting clear priorities, and meeting deadlines. Handling escalations for supplier queries and disputes, providing guidance to team members. Driving process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the Accounts Payable function. Conducting regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews, identifying training and development needs. Supporting month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting. EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED: The ideal candidate will bring: Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Team Leader or similar leadership role. Strong people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team. A thorough understanding of Accounts Payable processes and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across all levels of the business. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and finance systems.
