Main duties of the job
The Learning Disability and Autism and Safeguarding Teams are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join as a shared role business administrator. You will need to be organised, manage multiple tasks, and have an understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
The successful candidate will work onsite at the University Hospital Southampton, supporting vulnerable patients across the hospital.
This role may involve exposure to distressing details, but you will be supported and have access to staff support services.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Responsibilities:
* Provide comprehensive administrative services within the team.
* Prepare documentation and communicate with stakeholders.
* Organise and book meetings using Microsoft 365.
* Perform general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, and diary management.
* Attend meetings relevant to the role and take minutes.
* Maintain proficiency in electronic systems and undertake training as required.
Experience:
* Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GCSE pass level or equivalent.
* Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
* Administrative and organisational experience.
Person specification
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Business Admin or equivalent experience.
* RSA 2 word processing/typing or equivalent experience.
* Experience as a Receptionist or Admin Assistant in a clinical or customer-focused environment.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Courses/further study attended to demonstrate personal development.
* European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).
* RSA 3.
* Proficient in the use of hospital computerised patient systems.
