We are a dynamic and inclusive SEN Sports Club committed to providing children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) the opportunity to engage in sports and physical activities in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Our goal is to foster teamwork, improve motor skills, and build confidence in primary-aged children through structured sports sessions.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an energetic, patient, and compassionate Special Needs Sports Coach to join our team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging sports activities for children with SEN, supporting their development, and ensuring a positive experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver fun, inclusive, and engaging sports sessions tailored to children with SEN.
Adapt activities to meet the individual needs and abilities of each child.
Foster a positive and encouraging environment, ensuring all children feel safe and supported.
Work collaboratively with the coaching team to ensure effective delivery of sessions.
Monitor and support the children’s progress, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Communicate with parents and caregivers as needed to provide updates on the children’s participation and progress.
Be proactive in learning and implementing strategies to engage children with SEN effectively.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience working directly with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Enhanced DBS certificate
First aid certificate
Safeguarding certificate
Active, energetic, and passionate about working with children through sports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt sports activities to various needs and abilities.
Willingness to learn and implement new coaching techniques and SEN strategies.
Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
Additional Information:
Working Hours: Saturdays
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 2-4pm
Contract: Part-time
Location: On-site (Crystal Palace and Orpington)
