Overview
We are building a talent pool of experienced Construction Planners across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines for future opportunities within the UKs nuclear new build program. This is not a current vacancy, but rather an opportunity to be considered for future positions as they arise at projects including Hinkley Point C (Somerset) and Sizewell C (Suffolk).
About the Future Opportunities
When positions become available, successful candidates will join planning teams responsible for complex project scheduling across multiple buildings and work spaces. Youll play a crucial role in ensuring efficient project delivery across various scopes including:
• Civil construction sequencing
• Mechanical installation planning
• Electrical systems implementation
• Multi-discipline construction coordination
• Production and manufacturing scheduling
Potential Role Scope
Depending on your discipline and the specific opportunity, responsibilities may include:
• Producing and maintaining detailed project schedules
• Performing critical path analysis
• Leading schedule look-aheads (2, 10, 30, and 60-day projections)
• Generating progress reports and KPI monitoring
• Supporting cost reporting with Quantity Surveyors
• Leading planning meetings with construction teams
• Incorporating emergent works into existing programmes
• Managing stakeholder communication regarding schedule impacts
Required Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
• Minimum 5 years construction planning experience
• P6 SQEP qualified
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel
• HNC/ONC or equivalent qualification
• Site works experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Discipline-Specific Requirements (depending on role):
• Mechanical: Knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes
• Electrical: Understanding of electrical installation sequencing
• Civil: Experience with earthworks and structures planning
Desirable:
• BPSS clearance
• CCNSG certification
• Nuclear sector experience
• Multi-discipline planning experience
• Experience with earned value management
