The Ammerdown Centre is seeking a Compliance Manager who will work in a team of people to manage compliance issues.
Job Specification
Property: Part of the property is over two hundred years old, and the Centre was extended, renovated, and upgraded about eighteen years ago.
You will be responsible for ensuring the property is kept in good condition by working with the Maintenance Officer and external contractors.
You will obtain quotes for the Trustees and the Lead Manager. You will oversee the letting contractors and upkeep of four let properties and Aldrich Cottage.
Contracts: You will be responsible for all our contracts, including insurance, and utilities/ This will include finding the best price, whilst being mindful of eco and ethical concerns.
Health and Safety: Checking and ensuring that we are compliant in these areas.
Fire Safety: the Centre is currently upgrading its fire doors, and the first of three phases is complete. You will be responsible for obtaining quotes, etc., and making proposals to the Trustees via the Lead Manager. If approved,overseeing the implementation of work.
HR: This will include working with Citation and staff to ensure we are compliant.
Safeguarding: You will be the Safeguarding Officer working with 31:8 and will arrange staff training.
IT: You will work with IT support, Apollo Technology, and be responsible for Cybersecurity.
Policies: You will create and update policies annually.
Data Protection: Make sure we are compliant in this area.
Line Management: You will be line managing some members of staff.
You will be responsible, in consultation with the Lead Manager, for writing regular reports to the trustees on all compliance issues.
