Job summary The Named Lead for Safeguarding Adults will be responsible for ensuring that effective and efficient structures, systems and processes are in place to promote a high standard of evidenced based practice in the field of safeguarding. Part time - 18.75 hours per week Main duties of the job This role in supporting the organisation to deliver high quality safeguarding adults practice and to ensure CWP are meeting statutory requirements in line with the legislative framework. The individual needs to be conversant with legislation and provide expert safeguarding advice and support to staff of CWP consistent with legislation, guidance and procedures. Ensuring that there are robust internal safeguarding policies, which take into account legislation, guidance and procedures. Leading and promoting excellence and compliance in safeguarding practice within the organisation across the full spectrum of activity from prevention and early help through to the statutory response to serious incidents, local and national Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews and Safeguarding Adult reviews.. In addition, you will lead on the monitoring and reporting on safeguarding performance indicators. You will prepare reports for the Quality, safeguarding and Learning Forums and the Trustwide Safeguarding Committee and Quality committee. You will also brief the Head of safeguarding on organisational responsibilities in safeguarding, supporting with the production of biannual and annual Board reports to provide assurance. The successful post-holder will have extensive experience within a senior Safeguarding role within a health or social care setting. You will need current registration with NMC/HCPC or Social Work England/Wales/Scotland to apply for this position.
