Percival are excited to be working exclusively with Empower Youth Zone, sitting within the OnSide network, to help them recruit a new Building and Facilities Manager. Empower Youth Zones is the umbrella charity that oversees the operations of the award-winning HideOut Youth Zone, and soon to open Salford Youth Zone.
This role will be a multi-site operation between HideOut and Salford in Manchester. This is an integral role in maintaining high standards across the network and in keeping their members, staff and volunteers safe. The primary focus will be ensuring compliance and contractual obligations are met year on year, and to maintain a highly efficient and operational building.

Report to: Director of Operations
Salary: £33,004 - £36,079
Working Pattern: Full Time, Permanent
Location: HideOut (M12) and Salford Youth Zones (M6)
You will be responsible for overseeing the general maintenance of the premises including heating, lighting, plumbing and security systems. You will be expected to carry out minor repairs, maintenance and installation work such as joinery and plumbing and appropriate painting and re-decorating across the Youth Zones when required. You will be required to complete statutory and non-statutory inspections and their records, managing supplier contracts, and complete various risk assessments. Working with the wider Empower team, you will be expected to review budgets and contracts to create new efficiencies across the sites going forward, whilst still maintaining a high level of standards.
To be successful in this role, you will:
* Have extensive experience in managing facilities across a site in a similar environment.
* Have experience managing staff and contractors
* Be up to date with the latest health and safety regulations and have experience of producing risk assessments.
* Be an exceptional communicator
* Ideally, you will have experience managing a multi-site facility.
