This is a developmental role, and the successful candidate will initially be responsible for outbound lead generation and prospecting, with the intention to develop their skills over time across securing new business, commercial negotiation/contracting, ongoing relationship management, and a deep understanding of the wider Global Mobility industry. Business Development experience is not required, however a solution-orientated and tenacious approach is critical, along with the natural inclination to align with K2Q. Global Mobility and/or international experience would be advantageous, but not essential, and the successful candidate will be provided with thorough onboarding process in order to learn about every aspect of K2 as an organisation, as the role demands. Hours of work Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm. Hybrid working applies after successful completion of probation, two days minimum based in our Guildford office as needed to perform the role and build relationships which is an integral part of the K2 culture within the business. Main Duties and Responsibilities Identify new business opportunities - including new clients, growth areas, trends, products and services. Seek out the appropriate contact in an organisation. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Generate leads and cold call prospective customers. Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone. Understand the needs of our customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these. Have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them. Timely and accurately record updates into the CRM system as per company procedures. Support with the RFP process for new and existing clients whenever required. Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department and senior management. Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate. Keep abreast of trends and changes in the relocation sector. Help to plan sales campaigns in partnership with the marketing team. Negotiate pricing with customers. Building up close working relationships with Client Human Resources teams. Experience: Skills /Abilities & Knowledge Excellent business sense. No relocation industry experience required A deep understanding of Sales & Marketing principles. Excellent negotiation skills. Plenty of initiative and pro-active approach. Strong attention to detail and accuracy with data management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Be able to think quickly and creatively. Effective time management and organisational skills. Able to be flexible in a changing working environment. Ability to display confidence and professionalism in all client interactions.
