Job description
The Complex Security Lead takes the ownership of complex operational security arrangements for GPA clients in respect of physical security and building related security management. The post holder will ensure that change introduced to the operational environment operates in line with policies and standards. They will also deal with complex operational requests for VVIPs and other people of interest. The post holder will be part of a team of discipline specific managers.
Key Responsibilities:�
1. Support the Corporate Security team in policy design and process development, implementation and management across the client group when operationalising change and for BAU activities in the complex high security areas
2. Provision of solutions regarding specialist security matters including incident management investigation, threat detection, reconnaissance, scoping and delivery in the high security environments
3. Work with clients to develop solutions in high security and complex areas to ensure the GPA deploys fit for purpose responses in operational areas
4. Develop, govern and manage the GPA specialist security reporting process with Clients and suppliers. Also, incident controller and deputy controller where required
5. Attend internal, customer and supplier Security meetings and forums as required
6. Active participation in wider Security forums to develop insights and share good practice, acting as an Ambassador for GPA services
7. Provision of specialist security advice to Workplace Services working in partnership with the GPA Capital Projects Head of Security. Acting as the lead on developing solutions in high security and complex locations as well as new Hub Buildings and other key project works

Experience & technical skills
Demonstrable experience working with Physical Security Principles and/or Access Control/Intrusion Detection.
Demonstrable experience in project management and policy/procedure writing
Demonstrable experience in conducting assessments of existing facilities and applying Physical Security Principles to practical applications experienced at the site.
Ideally, proven management and leadership qualities.
Must be willing to undergo DV Clearance
Additional information:
A minimum 60% of your working time should be spent at your principal workplace. Although requirements to attend other locations for official business will also count towards this level of attendance.
