Role Overview:
This role focuses on working on projects from RIBA Stage 2/3/4/5 development through to the handover to the site project team when work on-site commences.
Reporting to the Senior Mechanical Pre-Construction Engineer and the Pre-Construction and Design Director, the role requires a proactive approach to elevate pre-construction practices and reinforce our commitment to excellence and innovation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination
* Design Audits and Reviews
* CDP Subcontractor Management
* External Design Consultant Management
* BIM and Working Drawings Resources
* Pre-Construction Reports
* Variations and Change Management
* Factory Witness Tests
* Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of design development and pre-construction processes.
* Attention to Detail: High standard of accuracy in preparing reports, submittals, and audits.
* Collaboration: Skilled at working closely with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and clients.
* Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying challenges and proposing effective solutions.
* Organisation: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines simultaneously.
* Communication: Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Required Experience:
* Demonstrable experience assisting with pre-construction activities, including supplier and subcontractor coordination.
* Experience in managing the Mechanical aspects of projects from RIBA Stage 2/3/4/5 design development to site handover.
* Proven experience in conducting design audits, raising RFIs, and identifying Value Engineering opportunities.
* Experience managing external design consultants and CDP subcontractors.
* Familiarity with BIM and working drawing management processes.
* Hands-on experience with variations, change management, and technical submittals.
* Note – Graduates with a relevant educational background who can demonstrate the required competencies and a strong interest in mechanical pre-construction also encouraged to apply for this role.

Contract: Full time (40 hours)
