I am instructed with an excellent opportunity for Company Secretary candidates seeking a new challenge or wanting to take the next step in their company secretarial careers.
My client is looking to speak with candidates who have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a previous company secretary role. Candidates who have previously worked in a company secretarial role within the legal profession will be of particular interest. Candidates with ICSA qualifications will also be of particular interest, and applicants will need to demonstrate the ability to provide a service to C-suite level stakeholders.
The specific experience my client is looking for includes the following (the below is not an exhaustive list):
* Preparing materials for Board meetings (meeting plans/agendas/reports etc);
* Strong and regular liaising with Directors and executive and non-executive levels as well as executive management and additional external parties;
* Creating and maintaining rolling agendas and Board/Committee meeting actions;
* Involvement in corporate governance projects as and when required;
* Offering regular support in relation to the company's AGM, Board evaluations, and external auditor evaluations.
There is a great level of flexibility on offer with this role, as my client expects only one day attendance a week within one of their offices. However, applying candidates will need to have a degree of flexibility around this for board meetings, etc.
Candidates can expect a 2-stage interview process focused on competency and team/culture fit.
The budget for this role is approved at anywhere between £50,000 - £60,000 per annum but will ultimately be determined based on the level of experience candidates can bring to the role.
