We are seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher to join this committed team and help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where pupils can thrive both academically and emotionally. This is a full-time teaching role, suitable for a qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in working within alternative or specialist settings. You’ll play a vital role in planning and delivering tailored lessons that accommodate students’ diverse needs while helping them to build confidence, resilience, and a love for learning. The ideal candidate will: Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in mainstream, alternative, or special education Have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and SEMH needs Be able to manage challenging behaviour using positive and consistent strategies Deliver creative, adaptable lessons suited to a range of learning styles and abilities Foster a supportive classroom culture focused on relationship-building and trust Work closely with pastoral staff, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure holistic support for each pupil Requirements: QTS or QTLS (essential) Experience teaching pupils with additional needs, particularly SEMH (desirable) A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Two professional references Right to work in the UK Why Work With Five Education?
