We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our warehouse team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have an eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
What You’ll Do:
* Work as Part of a Small Team: Receive and check in goods for internal and external customers, ensuring speed, accuracy, and quality targets are met.
* Master Stock Management: Develop a thorough understanding of the products being received and how to store them correctly, planning storage locations in advance.
* Handle Paperwork and Procedures: Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including booking goods into the system and managing daily customer orders.
* Ensure Timely Dispatch: Help load customer orders onto courier vehicles, ensuring all items are dispatched correctly and on time, and that delivery paperwork is clear and accurate.
* Maintain Stock Records: Organise and store stock, keeping location records up to date and assisting with regular stocktakes to maintain accuracy.
* Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety guidelines, reporting any issues as necessary.
* Support Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet business goals, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to the overall success of the department.
* Other Duties: Take on additional tasks as required to support the team and business needs.
What We’re Looking For:
* FLT Counterbalance Licence: Essential for handling stock with a forklift truck. If you have previously held one and you're willing to complete refresher training then we would still love to hear from you!
* Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are required.
* Relevant Experience: Previous experience in a similar warehouse or logistics role is preferred.
* Attention to Detail and Time Management: A keen eye for ensuring accuracy in all tasks. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and use your initiative, manage your workload effectively and support your colleagues.
* Adaptability: Comfortable working under pressure and adjusting to changing priorities.
* Problem Solving: A methodical approach to solving challenges.
* Flexibility: Willingness to adjust to changing working hours as required.
Please note that this is a temporary contract until the end of April, with a view to assess to move to a permanent contract here with The PHL Group.
