Job Purpose
This role will lead some of our most critical projects at BritBox International. Projects are likely to cut across all business functions, including product/tech, data/insight, marketing, editorial and strategy. You’ll be comfortable working on projects that have a clear end goal, and be able to also effectively partner with senior stakeholders on projects that are less clear, bringing a consultative approach, focusing on people, process, tech optimisation. We are a small agile team so the successful candidate would be expected to be flexible to work on projects pending the business need. We’re growing fast, have an exciting roadmap to deliver and you’ll be at the forefront of this. We are looking for people that are bright, with ability to quickly get up to speed and make a real impact. The successful candidate may view this role as a launch pad in time to a functional leadership role.
Responsibilities:
* You’ll be an expert at delivery and lead key projects that are likely to cut across multiple markets. You’ll be a hands-on member of the team, be ace at shaping projects, planning, tracking / clearing issues, anticipate bottle necks and work closely with stakeholders to ensure delivery to time, quality and budget. You go the extra mile to get the project over the line.
* You’ll be comfortable in working through ambiguity, scoping projects, and ensuring they are delivered in a controlled manner.
* You’ll be a great communicator, expert at summarising project status for stakeholders and be able to talk tech jargon free. Building awesome relationships with your stakeholders is second nature to you.
* You’ll be a fearless project leader, who collaborates with team members effectively with humility and emotional intelligence. You’re pragmatic, work through issues logically and seek out a diversity of opinions to solve problems.
* You’ll be responsible for co-ordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
* You’ll be flexible and comfortable working outside of your comfort zone on projects to meet the business need. You will be working with stakeholders across business functions and should be happy to work both within and outside of the product / tech delivery space.
* You’ll help bring control and innovation to the way we work, ensuring we continue to optimise ways of working. Building a learning culture is super important to us and it is essential we learn from each launch, getting more streamlined every time.
* You’ll be a driven self-starter, who is naturally collaborative, comfortable adapting to change and learning quickly in a dynamic organisation.
* You’ll be a positive member of our small but growing team, be willing to muck in, be energetic and support your fellow team members. This role will best suit an individual who enjoys working as part of a team, is well organised, pragmatic and a lateral thinker with an inquisitive mind who is motivated by change.
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience managing business critical projects, and ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills - written and verbal – with excellent attention to detail. The quality of materials for your project meetings is first class.
* Management Consultancy experience a plus.
* Strong Project, Stakeholder & Programme management skills, with experience working with vendors a plus.
* Experience working with agile Product and Engineering teams, leading, and managing major projects concurrently. You understand what it takes to lead projects and manage business stakeholders.
* SVOD experience desirable but not a core requirement for the right candidate.
* You should have commercial acumen with experience managing budgets.
* Experience with JIRA, Confluence desirable but not a core requirement for the right candidate.
