Job Description:
Overview:
Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Clinical Practitioner
30-37.5 hours
We are excited to be looking for a new Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) or Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) or Trainee to join our small and close-knit team. Supported by our 2 GP partners and wider team, you'll become an integral part of our team, leading primary care clinics with an emphasis on same-day and urgent cases. As a small and relatively newly formed team, there is also great scope for developing new skills and roles within the practice. We have protected teaching time every week and actively encourage clinical development. We recognize a healthy work-life balance is key to a long and productive career, so we strictly control workloads to ensure a positive, safe and fulfilling career.
Lockerbie Medical Practice is a recently re-established independent GP practice dedicated to providing compassionate personalized care to a list of 4500 patients. We strongly adhere to the new Scottish GP contract, which prioritizes safe and sustainable practice. The surgery, located in the semi-rural town of Lockerbie and surrounded by beautiful countryside, is committed to improving working lives for both its patients and staff. Lockerbie is right on the M74 and West Coast Mainline, so with virtually no traffic, it makes commuting even from a distance easy. Only 20-30 minutes from Carlisle or Dumfries and only 1 hour from Edinburgh or Glasgow by train! Dedicated on-site parking spot. EV charging. It couldn't be easier! Many of our staff commute from England or further North in Scotland.
Enquire with our Practice Manager today to arrange a visit or have a chat! We truly believe Lockerbie Medical Practice is an excellent place to work, with a friendly team, a well-controlled workload to prevent burnout, and excellent opportunities to build your clinical knowledge and skills. This would be ideal for a newly-qualified ANP/ACP or an experienced clinician who would step right in and make a big difference. Movers from NHS England are very welcome; you'll notice a positive difference this side of the border!
*Joining bonus subject to completing probation and subject to payback of contract left early.
