Alliance Dental Care is a fast-growing dental corporate group dedicated to high-quality patient care and operational excellence. We are looking for an experienced lawyer to provide legal expertise across employment law, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and patient-related legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Commercial Law
* Oversee mergers, acquisitions, and dental practice sales, managing due diligence and NHS contract transfers.
* Draft, negotiate, and review associate agreements, supplier contracts, service agreements, and property leases.
* Ensure compliance with governance frameworks such as GDPR, Companies House filings, and data-sharing policies.
Employment Law & HR Support
* Provide legal guidance on recruitment, employee contracts, and service agreements to align with UK employment law.
* Advise on TUPE transfers, redundancies, dismissals, and other workforce restructuring activities.
* Represent the organization in employment tribunals and manage business immigration matters for staff.
Regulatory Compliance & Practice Operations
* Manage CQC registrations, inspections, and responses to regulatory action.
* Advise on General Dental Council (GDC) compliance, including representation in fitness-to-practice hearings and disciplinary cases.
* Oversee NHS contract management, ensuring smooth operation across GDS, PDS, and private practices.
Patient-Related Legal Support
* Handle patient complaints and provide legal input on clinical negligence claims and professional indemnity matters.
* Ensure compliance with GDPR regulations on patient confidentiality, including managing data breaches and access requests.
* Collaborate with insurers and external counsel on complex legal disputes.
Qualifications & Skills
* Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 5+ years PQE (Post Qualified experience) in healthcare, corporate, or employment law.
* Solid experience handling healthcare-related legal matters, preferably within the dental or medical sectors.
* Expertise in managing commercial transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and partnership agreements.
* Proven ability to resolve disputes efficiently, with excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
* Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CQC requirements, and employment law.
* Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.
