NATIONAL ESOL COORDINATOR
Salary: Current scale £35,034.02 to £44,010 per annum, depending on experience (with annual pay award pending)

Work base: At one of our Adult Learning Wales office locations in Wales: Bangor, Cardiff, Ebbw Vale, Newtown, Swansea and Wrexham includes flexible working from home for part of the working week
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as National ESOL Coordinator. In this key role, you will be responsible for driving the ongoing development of ESOL provision and practice across the organisation. You will work closely and collaboratively with the Curriculum and Quality Teams and ESOL delivery staff to further develop ESOL provision, and will lead on the development of course content and the evaluation and assessment of the organisation’s ESOL provision.
Key responsibilities:
· Support and advise the Curriculum and Quality Team in the curriculum design, development, delivery and assessment across ESOL provision.
· Develop learning and progression pathways for ESOL learners across all areas of delivery
· Assume the Lead ESOL IQA role and lead on the internal quality assurance across all ESOL programmes
· Ensure continuous quality improvement of the curriculum area in line with Awarding Organisations’ requirements, through self-assessment and quality improvement

About you
We are looking for someone who is passionate and has a proven track record in a similar role. You should have excellent organisational and coordination skills, experience of the ESOL Core Curriculum, and knowledge of current issues in the field of adult education in Wales. Your interpersonal and communication skills will be second to none, and you will be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:
• Experience of ESOL Core Curriculum, curriculum design, development, delivery and assessment
• Able to develop good working relationships with people at all levels, including with community groups
• Experience of working in partnership, and networking with other agencies in the voluntary, community and statutory sector
• Knowledge of current issues in field of adult education in Wales, particularly in relation to ESOL
• Experience of working with Awarding Organisations
Desirable:
• Current knowledge of Voluntary Sector, HE and FE in Wales
• Ability to speak, read and write the Welsh Language fluently
• Understanding of the Estyn Common Inspection Framework
