Our Client is seeking an exceptional Investment Banking Associate to join their London-based team, specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Capital Markets advisory within the Digital Infrastructure, Software, and Technology sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile transactions, collaborate with market-leading companies, and play a key role in shaping the future of these transformative industries.
As an Associate, you will take on a critical role in deal execution, client relationship management, and driving the analytical and strategic aspects of their advisory mandates.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, recapitalizations, and equity/debt raises.
* Build and refine detailed financial models, including valuation, scenario analysis, and forecasting, tailored to sector-specific dynamics.
* Conduct comprehensive industry research and competitor benchmarking within Digital Infrastructure, Software, and Technology verticals.
* Prepare and deliver client presentations, pitch materials, and transaction documentation to support senior bankers in building and maintaining client relationships.
* Play a central role in project management, coordinating with stakeholders across teams, clients, and external advisors to ensure seamless deal execution.
* Monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and market developments to provide insights that enhance strategic decision-making for clients.
About You
* 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or a similar financial advisory role, preferably with exposure to M&A or capital markets transactions.
* Strong technical skills in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and transaction analysis, with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
* A solid understanding of the Digital Infrastructure, Software, and Technology sectors, or a strong interest in becoming a specialist in these industries.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
* Highly organized with strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive, collaborative, and team-oriented, with a strong desire to contribute to the success of the organization.
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACA) are a plus.
