About the role We currently have a Team Leader vacancy available in the Public Spaces Maintenance Department. This is a temporary full-time position for a period up to October 2025. As Team Leader, you will be responsible for coordinating, supervising and delivering activities within a designated work team as directed by the Field Supervisor and Coordinator. Team Leaders can work across various crews including mowing, laneways, graffiti, pressuring cleaning, and amenity cleaning. This position will suit someone who is ready for the next step in their career. This position will require knowledge and use of mobility application/devices. The occupant may be required to work across any of Council’s Depots as directed. This position operates on a 76-hour fortnight with a Rostered Day Off once a fortnight. Essential criteria Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and allocate work Experience in planning and coordinating day to day activities Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively Demonstrated knowledge of minor plant and equipment used in Public Spaces Maintenance Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card Current Class C driver licence Commencing salary: $67,619.00 - $78,273.00 per annum, plus 11.5% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
