Job Summary The Riverside Clinic Outpatient Department consist of seven outpatient consulting rooms, one minor operations room and one phlebotomy room. The post holder is responsible for the day to day nursing needs of the department, ensuring the efficient and effective use of all recourses in order to deliver high quality, safe and effective patient care in an environment of continuous improvement. This is a clinical role and the post holder will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe and evidence based clinical care, including phlebotomy and cannulation, assisting consultants with minor operations and procedures, wound management, injections, chaperoning, etc. Duties and responsibilities To demonstrate through personal behaviour the core values of the company Ensure that time and resources are managed through effective teamwork To ensure that junior members of staff have a clear understanding of their duties and responsibilities To demonstrate effective delegation To assist on admissions from Outpatients Department to the ward To contribute towards the new ways of working and the development of nursing skills to support clinic and corporate objectives and improvement objectives To assist Outpatient Lead with stock checks and orders To work with all members of the multi professional team to develop services to ensure the effective provision of all aspects of clinical care are maintained at a high standard.
