We are seeking a skilled and experienced Port Crane Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in servicing and maintaining RTG's, STS, mobile harbour, and RMG cranes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities of a Crane Engineer:
1. Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on RTG's, STS, mobile harbour, and RMG cranes around the local area and nationally to ensure safe and efficient operation.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
3. Perform upgrades, modifications, and installations as required to enhance crane performance and functionality.
4. Collaborate with internal teams, other Crane Engineers, and external stakeholders to coordinate service activities and minimize downtime.
5. Provide technical support and training to customers and onsite personnel to optimize crane operation and maintenance practices.
6. Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment records.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic Engineering discipline.
2. Proven experience working with port cranes.
3. Strong knowledge of crane systems, including mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic components.
4. Industry certifications or tickets related to crane maintenance and operation (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF).
5. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients and team members.
7. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
