Job Title: Principal Mechanical Engineer

Salary: Circa £55,000 depending on skills and experience
What you'll be doing:
* Conducting peer reviews and verifying tasks, ensuring adherence to engineering standards
* Identifying and resolving product lifecycle issues, leading change activities to maintain compliance
* Establishing and managing qualification requirements during build, test, and commissioning, ensuring Safety Case integrity and robust supporting documentation
* Serving as subject matter expert, coaching and mentoring team members and upholding engineering excellence
* Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to optimise thermal design of radar components
* Leading development and validation of thermal models to predict performance under varied conditions
Your skills and experiences:
* Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field and or proven experience
* Expertise in heat transfer principles, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics
* Proven experience in designing and testing thermal systems for electronic components and assemblies
* Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading engineering teams to achieve technical excellence
