Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and collaborating closely with the Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, the jobholder will be responsible for planning the production schedule and managing the transport of products to customers.
The Jobholders responsibilities will include the following;
Production Planning
* Logility – APS planning system: organizing, maintaining and coordinating Production planning of jobs on winders, drying and finishing process lines (Brodbeck, Stapler, Groover, GCP, Textile Finishing Lines)
* Monitor and replenish FG stock
* Maintain stock for recut products (check orders if correct and correct/amend when needed)
* Monitor and plan drying process, stretch wrapping and repacking of PMC cores – update supervisors about extra activities included in process
* Coordinate and participate in daily planning meeting(s)
* Monitor performance and data and update routings as required
* Communicate late orders and potential late orders to CSR’s
* Communicate any concerns with Quality Team
* Machine forecast update on weekly/ daily basis with supervisors to optimise capacity utilisation
Transport planning
* Create weekly transport log and update on the daily basis
* Send logs to haulier to book loads (typically on a Thursday) and update as the week progresses
* Advise Daily Transport log to carriers and to dispatch FLT drivers
* Book in deliveries with customers
* Process delivery notes (ensure they are ‘ship confirmed’ to create invoice)
* Update weekly transport log (daily) with delivery note numbers and costs for accounts
Stock Management
* Daily check of WIP Value report – maintain and correct where required - Accounts to be updated on daily basis to allow them to close jobs
* Maintain parents stock for recut machines
* Manage Quarantine and Loose stock
* Manage finished goods inventory and conduct month end counts and corrections of FG stock
System and Data maintenance
* Work with Oracle and Accounts Teams to ensure data is accurate
Your skills & experience
* At least 5 years’ experience in a production/manufacturing environment
* Excellent computer skills with experience in Oracle, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
* Leadership ability, managing and leading teams, projects
* Developed time management skills, with an ability to balance demand among various projects
