Our therapy model is made up of a multidisciplinary team including behaviour support practitioners, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and psychotherapists. Working with our therapy leader, this role will play a critical part in our student development working collaboratively to reach the best possible outcome for those we support at all times.
Duties would include:
* Leading on the delivery of a comprehensive, innovative and evidence based behaviour support service that meets the needs of the students and adults, within a Positive Behaviour Model. Delivery will include the assessment of students along with planning, implementing and evaluating interventions.
* Planning and development of the PBS service and provide line management to team members.
* Working in close collaboration with classroom teams, as well as the other members of the Therapy team, in order to provide integrated behaviour support.
* Promoting expertise and best practice through training, modelling and staff coaching.
* Attending student reviews or other relevant meetings, to ensure a person centred approach in collaboration with the team around the student.
* Participating in continuous professional development through self-directed learning.
Our ideal applicant will need to have:
* Evidence of established specialist skillset in behaviour assessment and management.
* Demonstrates leadership skills through use of appropriate management styles, ability to adapt communication and effective prioritisation and time management skills.
* Able to work as an effective and co-operative team member and to collaborate successfully with colleagues and Head of Therapy.
* Effective line management skills evidenced through the ability to coach, support and performance manage team members.
