The winning candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service and be willing to work primarily throughout the south west region with up to 1 week away monthly. Water hygiene experience is desirable, but we are willing to train the right candidate to be able to complete the role. Plumbing, Water Softener and RO experience is advantageous.
Plumbers Mate / Water Hygiene Technician Job Responsibilities
* Completes plumbing remedials as part of a small team to ensure site compliance (Dead leg removal, water heater installation etc.).
* Attends client’s sites to complete water hygiene monitoring programs.
* Identifies water system assets and records their locations.
* Completes job sheets on tablet/PDA and discusses action points with the client.
* Carries out site reviews and discusses non-conformant actions with resolution.
* Sampling for microbiological and chemical analysis.
* Water services disinfection for mains & tank systems.
* TMV Servicing.
* Conducts work in a safe manner.
* Any other duties as required.
Qualifications/Skills
* Plumbing hands-on experience.
* Plumbing NVQ level 2 (desirable).
* Experienced in water hygiene monitoring (desirable).
* Experience with disinfection of water systems (desirable).
* Good understanding of legionella compliance documentation (desirable).
* Experience of working with water softeners (desirable).
* Experience of working with RO units (desirable).
* Ability to read, understand and follow method statements.
* Works well alone or as part of a team.
* Good communication verbal and written.
* Excellent customer service.
Education, Experience, and Licensing
* City & Guilds Certificates for legionella monitoring/disinfection/etc. (desirable).
* Experience in the water hygiene industry (desirable).
* Working at height trained.
* Confined space trained.
* Powered cherry picker and scissor lift licence (desirable).
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* GCSE’s Maths, English, Science.
We will provide all tools and equipment required to perform the role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
