We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Bladder and Bowel Specialist Nurse Practitioner to join our caring and progressive team in West Kent covering Aylesford, Tonbridge and Sevenoaks. Your main base will be Aylesford.
The Kent Continence Service (KCS) are a team of Bladder and Bowel Specialist Nurses, Pelvic Health Physiotherapists and Assistant Practitioners who work across East and West Kent to deliver one to one support or health education for referred clients with bladder, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction.
A working week is divided between video or telephone calls to clients, face to face clinic appointments or face to face home visits. Our clients can be referred in to us with Gynaecological, Urological, Urogynaecology, or colo-rectal conditions, or a mixture of these.
We believe that everyone has the right to be continent and where this is not achievable then advice and support is given to help manage this. With years of expertise in the care and treatment of bladder, bowel and pelvic health conditions we are able to offer individualised care and support in line with best practice.
We offer a service to clients in East and West Kent and undertake virtual appointments and clinics in these localities and can also offer home visits to housebound clients or for those needing to be taught specialist interventions for their continence problems. We also provide teaching and support to other healthcare professionals and/or family members as required.
As nurses we work autonomously and tailor and adapt interventions to suit the clients we are seeing so excellent time keeping, diary management and computer skills are essential.
We have Clinical Supervision and Team Meetings at regular intervals and ensure support and training is available to ensure ongoing development within the role and encourage members of the team to take part in these sessions.
